Find The Shift™

Nervous System Navigation.

Guiding You to Embodied eating.

Find The Shift™ is an experiential process designed to Guide you to embodied eating by teaching you how to Navigate your nervous system.

  • Embodied Eating

The experience of being connected to your body while eating: • You sense your physiological cues and those cues are relevant, meaningful and naturally guide your behavior • you make decisions based on those internal experiences and your preferences • you naturally sense more than the eating experience (environment, people conversation) • you can sense completion at the end of a meal or snack • You can sense “what is on the other side” of done.

  • Disembodied Eating

The experience of not feeling connected to your body while eating; you can not notice and/or utilize relevant information that your body is sending • you struggle with decision making or planning regarding meals and eating • you lose access to previously decided upon goals • you are not able to stop eating or to Sense or feel “done”

  • Nervous System Navigation

Is becoming aware of your present nervous system state so, if needed, you may actively support your body to "shift" into a different, more desirable nervous system state.

And All you have to do is Return.

What People Are Saying

“Within three weeks of my membership in FTS and my use of the daily returns, my disembodied eating episodes went from being a weekly or at most biweekly event to every other month. Now that I have been involved in this community for eight months, I literally never have any disembodied eating experiences. Ever. To call this a miracle would be inaccurate. This is the result of a fundamental connection I have forged between my body and my mind. It is stunning to me how simple this process has been. I am not saying it is easy. I am saying it is simple and fundamental.”

— R. B. (FTS™ member)

“This is the first program I have done that has really address what I feel is at the core of my binge eating, rather than focusing on the more surface aspects of it. I have been saying for about 5 years and want to address this pattern from the inside out and this feels like just that.”

— S. B. (FTS™ member)

“Somehow, I am now mobilized in the mornings... without any goals. Meaning, there's a really interesting, natural "want to" happening but it is not attached to attaining anything. Its actually weird! It feels a bit strange but incredible! Im getting up without a struggle and seamlessly transitioning into my workouts without resistance?! Yet, not obsessing over a goal. It's really amazing.”

Where does the journey from disembodiment to embodiment take me?

Disembodied

  • Immobilized

  • Stuck / Fixated

  • Floaty / Untethered

  • Indecisive

  • Tunnel Vision

  • Impulsive

  • Disconnected / Isolated

Disembodied Eating

  • Become fixated on certain foods or aspects of the food / "Become the want"

  • Fullness is not relevant / Can't find the feeling of done / Completion is uncomfortable or "not okay"

  • Satisfaction is not relevant and can even cause greater fixation

  • Hard to make decisions ie. menus, buffets, parties / Want it all

  • Big emotions (hurt, anger, sadness, even joy) trigger "all or nothing" eating

Embodied

  • Mobilized

  • Connected / Curious / Compassionate

  • Access to priorities / planning

  • Wide field of vision

  • Access to decision making

  • Grounded / Alert

  • Easily transition between activities

embodied Eating

  • Sense more then just "want"/Wider field of vision/Sense your whole self

  • Fullness can be felt and it has a natural relevence/Completion feels natural and okay

  • Satisfation is experienced and signals completion

  • Access to Decision Making / Feel grounded/Access to sensing

  • Big emotions are felt and processed/Eating remains a separate experience

  • Behavior modification alone is obsolete. Nervous System navigation is the missing piece.

  • You do not have a willpower deficiency.

  • Experience driven. Trauma informed.

  • It's really hard to do this alone.

  • The word binge doesn’t quite capture the reality of what is happening. Disembodied does.

  • Experiential not just instructional
